
EMBASSY HEADQUARTERS AND AMBASSADOR’S RESIDENCE
Since 1991 the Headquarters of the Embassy of Italy have their see at the urban area "El Rosal", in the Chacao borough, which concentrates the main entrepreneurial and commercial activities in the capital city, Caracas, and 70% of the sees of the Diplomatic and Consular Missions accredited in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The Chancellery occupies the two upper floors of a modern building and it is also see for the Stock Exchange of Caracas.
The Embassy hosts the Office of the Military Attaché and the Offices of the Italian Foreign Commerce Institute (ICE).
Nowadays it is awaiting for the approval of the project “Casa Italia”, an autonomous building complex able to host under an only roof even the Offices of the General Consulate in Caracas.
The villa that hosts the Ambassador of Italy to Venezuela, the “Quinta Miravalle” was built in the early 50s and acquired by the Italian State in 1954.
It has a surface of 650 m2 distributed in two floors and it is located on an area of 2000 m2. It is a classical type building with a traditional distribution, in a Mediterranean style, located in the heart of the well-known residential area of Caracas "Country Club", at the foothill of the mountain which reigns the city, with great extensions of tropical vegetation.
The residence is furnished with English and Dutch pieces and has a valuable collection of oriental rugs.
