Welcome to the homepage of the Italian Embassy in Denmark!

The main reason for creating this homepage was the desire to provide an agile and efficient instrument to improve the mutual connections between Italy and Denmark and the two countries’ knowledge of each other.  

The homepage should be seen as an open gate in two ways: on one hand it should improve the knowledge of Italy among Danish citizens, who often take a vivid, usually benevolent, interest in our country but do not always have the possibility to widen their knowledge and sometimes preserve an image of Italy, which does not correspond to the reality of our time. On the other hand, the homepage should be useful to the increasing number of Italians who arrive at these shores, allured by the Little Mermaid, and are positively surprised by Denmark’s numerous less well-known artistic, architectonic and natural beauties.   

But obviously, the homepage is first and foremost at the disposal of our fellow countrymen, who for a number of reasons have chosen to live in this country and who may hopefully find some useful information, also of a more practical nature. It is my hope that you will find the homepage welcoming and informative, but at the same time I invite you to submit suggestions, advice and ideas so that we may continue to make it even more useful and interesting.
