The headquarters of the Embassy of Italy is situated in the Menteng area, in the central zone of Jakarta. Designed by the Dutch colonialist government during the ‘20s, Menteng is located near the the economic district of Jakarta and is linked to the center of Jakarta by many of the major streets of the city.    

How to get there:
By taxi is the best way to reach the Embassy.  

From the airport:  
Leaving from the airport, take Jalan Tol Prof. Sedyatmo – Airport Tollroad, continue on Jalan Tol Pelaburan, proceed  along Jalan Tol Pluit-Tomang.   After  Grogol Petamburan, continue on Jalan Tol Letnan S. Parman and take the Semanggi/Kuningan/Kebayoran exit.  Enter on Jalan Sudirman in the direction of Gambir for 3.5 km.  
At the Plaza Indonesia roundabout, enter in Jalan Imam Bonjol, second street on the right. Go straight on Jalan Diponegoro. The Embassy is on the left, at n. 45.      

The route is about 35 km. The trip from the airport to the Embassy  takes at least 40 minutes, depending on the traffic. The average cost by taxi is 120 thousands rupias.
