ICE - Italian Institute for Foreign Trade
The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) is not present in Sudan, however this is a short description of the Institute’s functions.
ICE, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, is a public agency for the promotion, facilitation and development of Italy’s trade exchange with other countries, giving priority to internationalisation, and above all, small and medium Italian enterprises. The ICE, headquartered in Rome, has 16 offices throughout Italy and is associated with 104 offices in 80 countries throughout the world.
The activities of the ICE are financed primarily through public funds, the Ministry of Productive Activities and to some extent through the companies using its promotional, information and assistance services.
The ICE is available online at www.ice.it.
To meet the requirements of companies seeking information on international markets, the ICE’s data bank has been streamlined and presented through several formats:
The Country Guides, which provide guidelines, in-depth analyses, and marketing opportunities for products “Made in Italy”.
The Investments Guides, which provide information on financial regulations and policies abroad.
The Economic Analysis Risk Index Cards on financial and trade issues.
In addition, the institute provides an extensive survey of the commercial landscape for specific commodities and sectors, in addition to a data bank of information on international tenders, bids, International Organisations and funds.
A wide range of updated foreign trade data and bank statistics, unique in kind, from Italian and international sources (ISTAT, the UN, FMI), is also available online, with personalised previews and tables, containing quantifiable information classified by country, fields, values, etc.
The information provided by Foreign Trade News, realised in collaboration with Ansa, the Italian news agency, allows customers to be informed daily on changes in the major world markets, changes in customs regulations, fiscal and monetary matters, and business opportunities. A subscription is required to access the ICE data bank contents, available through the Export Club online application form.
