Important notice for bank account holders at Poste Italiane S.p.A.

21/04/2008 - Poste italiane recently announced that all bank accounts which have not been used for more than 10 years will be closed and any unclaimed savings will be devolved to a public fund, unless the holders issue a declaration by 25 August 2008, to be sent either directly to Poste italiane or via Consular offices or Patronati (welfare organisations affiliated with the Italian trade unions).
