Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Giulio Tremonti meets Chancellor of the Exchequer

13/11/2008 - Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Giulio Tremonti met Alistair Darling, Chancellor of the Exchequer, at a working lunch that was held at 11 Downing Street. During the meeting, the Minister and the Chancellor discussed the main challenges ahead of the G20 Summit in Washington on the global financial crisis.

A meeting with the Italian press took place at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador after the working lunch.

In the morning, Minister Tremonti gave a lecture as opening key-note speaker, at the annual Chatham House  conference on “Global Futures: globalisation at the tipping point?”
