The relations between the Italian Republic and the Republic of the Philippines have been characterized, since the beginning, by deep friendship and sharing common values such as democracy, freedom, equality, respect for all the individuals, and a constant seek for world peace and economic prosperity.

Common values are shared also between the two peoples, amongst which many similarities and common cultural heritage can be found. The economic relations are increasing, as long as trade and investment are concerned. The two business communities are actively pursuing a major cooperation which may be fruitful for the economic development and growth of both countries.

Italy is hosting a relevant community of Philippine citizens, most of whom are workers. The Philippines host at present a community of about 850 Italians. The relations in the social sector are improving and increasing.

The official website opened and updated by the personnel of the Embassy will prove useful in order to further facilitate relations, exchanges and collaborations between the two countries at all levels.
