Cultural cooperation

Over the last few years the cultural relations between Italy and the Philippines picked up significantly, feeding on the cultural proximity which offers a vast array of opportunities for relevant initiatives.
Among the events, mention worthy are: 

-         the concert of the Italian ensemble “I Solisti Veneti” in 2001;

-         the concert of Andrea Bocelli in 2004;
 
-         the “Italian Film Festival”, organized every year since 2003;

-         the concert of Maestro Ruggero Barbieri in 2005.

The partnership between Italy and the Philippines is running up significantly too, with the aim of promoting Italian language and culture. Beside the Philippine Italian Association, that has been active in the Philippines for decades spreading the Italian culture, since 2005 the first Dante Alighieri Manila Panel has been active too, enabled to issue PLIDA certificates that attest the knowledge of the Italian language.
