Welcome to the site of the Italian Embassy in China!

        Italy and China are old friends, both have ancient cultures, their grand civilizations linked by historical and traditional ties of friendship. We are already well acquainted but we must meet more often to increase our understanding and collaboration.

        Our strategic partnership rests on excellent political relations and intense bilateral cooperation, especially in priority sectors such as: economy, culture, environment, health, education and scientific research. Moreover, it avails itself of an important body, the Italy-China Governmental Committee, which guides, coordinates and checks on the state of relations in all sectors.

        The Embassy, the Consulates-General in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong and all the other members of the Italian network (from the offices of the Italian Trade Commission to the Cultural Institutes and the Italian Chambers of  Commerce in China) are at your disposal. They collaborate closely in order to create and facilitate contacts and opportunities for cooperation at all levels.

        This site is – and must become ever more so – a window displaying the services offered, a house made transparent so that you remain up-dated on new developments in our work. It is a channel of communication between Italy and China.

        In the era of the Internet, the user is the main protagonist. Therefore, any comments, ideas or suggestions you have will be most precious for us.
