VISA OFFICE

In order to submit a visa application to the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, Chinese and foreign citizens residing in the Consular Jurisdiction for at least 6 months can apply for a visa in person or through a delegate, from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 03:00 p.m. at “Italy visa Application Center” (IVAC), its address as follows:

IVAC is a privately run company, authorized by this Embassy to receive visa applications. Any assessment and decision on visa is taken by the Embassy only.

The application form, the invitation format, the visa fee and the list of the documentation required for every type of visa, can be found on the website of the Visa Application Center www.italyvac.cn. For general information on visa regulations, categories and requirements please visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website http://www.esteri.it/visti/.

Please be informed that the Embassy has the right to request further documentation.

You are kindly advised to submit your visa application well in advance before your departure (at least 3 weeks).

On average, visas are issued within five working days. However, during peak season or depending on the type of visa requested, some delays might occur.

General information and inquiries on the status of your visa application can be provided at the counter of the Visa Application Center, by contacting the call center from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 07:00 p.m. (free toll number 0086-10-8454.9855), by emailing (infopek@italyvac.cn) or by tracking  your passport.

You can also make inquires to the Visa Office of the Embassy by emailing  visti.pechino@esteri.it and by calling the number 0086-10-85327600, from Monday to Friday, from 14.30 to 04.30 pm (Beijing time).

Business Fast Track
By submitting your application through IVAC, commercial partners and foreigners working for companies members of the China Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) will be facilitated in their visa application according to the agreement signed by the Embassy and the CICC. Chinese businessmen can also submit their visa application through the CITIC Bank.

Tourist groups
Chinese citizens travelling to Europe in groups according to predefined itineraries, can apply for an ADS visa through local chinese travel agencies. In order to operate, these agencies must be authorized by “China National Tourism Association” (CNTA), and accredited with the Embassy of any Schengen States. For further information on ADS UE-China agreement, please visit the website of the Italian National Tourism Board (ENIT), which contains the list of the accredited Italian tour operators.

Public passport Holders
According to the Chinese law, Chinese citizens holders of diplomatic, service and public passports (passports number starting with the letters D, S and P), must submit their visa application only through the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or through the relevant provincial Foreign Affairs Office. After the approval of the mission abroad, the relevant Office will send the visa application to the Embassy.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affaire is well informed about our requirements and provides assistance in the visa application process.

Citizen of the Republic of Mongolia
The Embassy of Italy in Beijing has jurisdiction on the Republic of Mongolia.
