8th ITALIAN LANGUAGE WEEK
On November the 8th 2008, the Italian Cultural Association of Riyadh will organize the inaugural night of the “8th Italian Language Week" at the premises of the Association, which will be inaugurated for the occasion (map). On November the 13th, the Week’s activities will resume with a night reserved to music and dance (map). The closing night will be dedicated the rediscovery of the world of Giovanni Guareschi (updated program). |

This date commemorates the conclusion of an armistice signed at Villa Giusti (Padava) with the Austro-Hungarian Empire, thus becoming a day to commemorate Italian unity and the Armed Forces. |

In occasion of the international exhibition Saudi Build 2008 due to be held in Riyadh during the period 26-29 October 2008 the Italian Embassy is pleased to announce that a group of 15 Italian companies specialized in the sector will be participating in the Saudi Build 2008. |

INTERNATIONAL ENERGY FORUM
A Ministerial Meeting of the 11th International Energy Forum was held in Rome from 21 to 22 April 2008 on the theme “Energy Dialogue to Respond to Global Challenges”. The event was preceded by the 3rd International Energy Business Forum open to the participation of the private sector.
The International Energy Forum represents an opportunity of dialogue, since 2000, between producers and consumers countries which was attended in Rome by more than 90 countries discussing about energy security, resources availability, energy investment and sustainable development”.
