AIRE and ELECTIONS

- On the occasion of the last elections it appeared that not all Italians resident abroad are registered with the proper Embassy or Consulate. It is necessary that Italians living abroad for more than 12 months continuously, notify their presence to the Consular Offices asking to be registered in the Register of the Italians Resident Abroad (AIRE). It is also necessary that, afterwards, they keep the Consular Offices updated about their own whereabouts and about any changes in their own status (marriages, births and so on).
Only if they do so Authorities will be able to grant them the ordinary services and the right to vote abroad.
