The Embassy

Due to historical vicissitudes and urban development, the location of the Italian Embassy in Seoul and the HOM’s Residence has been moved several times since the beggining of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea. From 1987 the Diplomatic Chancellery is located in a three floor contemporary style building in the residential area of Hannam-Dong, one of the most glamorous districts of Seoul where many other Embassies are located.

In addition to the dipomatic and consular Chancellery, in the same building can be found the Office of the Military and Defence Attachè. The Italian Cultural Institute is situated in a detached building at a walking distante from the Embassy.

The Ambassador’s Residence is located in one of the most prestigious districts of Seoul. The two floors town house has a wide beautiful garden, particularly useful for open air receptions. It possesses large and and confortable living and sitting rooms, suitable for representations. The town house is embelished with many of works of art both properties of the Italian Government and the Ambassador.
