In addition to the traditional activity connected with foreign economic Authorities, the Embassies and Consulates economic-commercial offices network supplies a growing quantity of services to the business community, supporting it in the internationalization process. The institutional prestige, the authoritativeness and the recognized professionalism of the diplomatic network are placed to support the enterprises in the development of multiple trade functions.
Embassies and Consulates, having the highest level of dialogue with local authorities, can carry out a unique role of support of the necessities of enterprises with reference to the foreign Public Authorities. In collaboration with the local Offices of ICE, ENIT, Associations and Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, the network realizes initiatives of promotion and communication to benefit the “Sistema Italia”. Moreover, thanks to the peculiar capillarity, the network collects and diffuses information on the opportunities for the Italian enterprises such tenders as well as orders and public works plans, through the information system “Ex-tender”. The diplomatic and consular representations aggregate Italian business communities abroad, promoting therefore their associations and network.
