Af of 30th August 2008, Alberto Bradanini is Italy’s Ambassador to Iran.
 Graduated in Political Sciences at the University of Rome in 1975, as a career diplomat he served in a number of posts abroad, notably:

From 1998 until December 2003, he was first seconded to United Nations,Vienna, as Special Assistant to the UNODC Executive Director and, subsequently, (1999-2003) Director of UNICRI (United Nation Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute), headquartered in Turin,Italy.

From 2004 to 2007, he acted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Coordinator of the Italy-China Governmental Commitee. From January 2007 to August 2008, he was in charge of the International Public Affairs at ENEL, Italy’s largest power company.
