Acquisition of Real estate property in Croatia for Italian Citizens

We are glad to inform that starting from 10th October 2006 Croatian Authorities have formally recognized the subsistence of Reciprocity in the bilateral relations concerning the acquisition of real property. Therefore, also Italian citizens who do not hold residency permit in Croatia will be able to acquire title over real property in this Country. The application for acquiring title over real property in Croatia shall be submitted to the Ministry of Justice of Republic of Croatia, according to the Amendment to the "Law on Ownership and Other Real Rights" (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia n. 79/2006).
